TOM SAWYER’S PROPHECIES

Because of the authenticity of Tom Sawyer’s experiences and teachings, and the fulfilment of some of his predictions and precognitions, Tom stands as a beacon of light in these darkening times. He has left for us a road map of what could happen if the attitudes of everyone in the world go unchecked. He wasn’t very reassuring about whether we could avert the earth’s changes entirely, but he strongly emphasized that we can still change things.  As long as the lid hasn’t blown off the top, it’s not too late. 

Ultimately, the final decision will be made by God and Mother Earth, keeping in mind that everything depends upon everything else.  

Tom has referred to the current era as a pivotal and challenging time, often calling it the close of an age or being in the last few days of grace. Rather than a singular end-time event, he has portrayed it as a period of intense transition and cleansing, marked by various signs of the times and a “spiritual whirlwind“. 

Although Tom disagreed with some of the precepts of organized religions, he attended Christian Catholic church. While he felt comfortable in any church, because he could see what they were trying for, he attended the one he had grown up with. When he says “signs of the times,” he is referring to the Christian signs of the times because that was what he was exposed to the most. The ability to discern these signs will enable people to prepare for what is to come.

Please note the following: We have to recognize that those who have detailed awareness of precognitive events and/or clairvoyant functions are no more important or successful than any one of us who are serving by being loving, mundane and less active. Spiritual work is not divine because of greater or lesser measurements. It is divine because of the love gesture.

Completed Precognitions

Averting the End Times

Tom Sawyer knew that collective consciousness and love could avert large-scale disasters such as suicide bombings and malicious nuclear explosions. Over the course of ten years he fulfilled his purpose, once with the help of over 100,000 other people. 

This shows us that not all prophecies are definite in nature, and God lovingly sends us light workers such as Tom to avert events that could become apocalyptic in nature. A malicious nuclear explosion would have caused a domino effect of negative attitudes on a global scale. This negative change of attitudes would have greatly accelerated our end-times. 

1. In 1987, a suicide bomber from Lebanon had a truck loaded with explosives as he drove up to a US military checkpoint. Many near-death experiencers were aware of this event and had pinpointed the location and time frame. Tom asked priests and others to pray fervently and cover the would-be bomber in love. The bomber stopped short of the check point and turned himself in with a complete change of heart. He said he had felt the ‘hugs of a thousand mothers’ and no longer wanted to hurt people. Dr. Kenneth Ring mentions a probable detonation in his book, Heading Towards Omega. 

2. Tom knew that the US would be testing Tomahawk cruise missiles and that a B-52 might crash, causing local devastation. The testing was to be filmed for the purpose of selling them to a Middle Eastern dictator. The crash of the B-52 would be “strike one” against that plan.
3. The second filming attempt, which was in Nevada, Tom was shown the possibility of placing his consciousness in the exact spot to be able to ‘say hi’ to two electrons in the missile’s guidance system as they passed by. The missiles were traveling at 500mph while the electrons were near light speed. Tom’s interruption of the electrons caused the guidance system to shut down, causing the missile to fall harmlessly to the ground. Strike two.
   
   The final attempt to film the missiles was to take off from the Seneca Army Base in New York State, to launch them over the Canadian wilderness. Tom was not given any information about how he might stop this one. In the meantime Tom was on the phone with a friend who lived in Canada to discuss an upcoming bicycle race. At the end of the conversation Tom asked his friend how he felt about American missiles being launched into Canadian air space. The friend replied that he was the leader of a group who opposed exactly such things. Soon enough people showed up at the Seneca Army Depot in protest that the big brass called off the flight.

Tom and Airplanes

Tom always enjoyed airplanes. The reason he was so often involved in plane crash precognitions is because, as he put it, “Someone’s messing around with one of my planes.” It wasn’t full ownership but was a strong affinity. When he knew about an upcoming crash he’d try to find ways to prevent it, because he egotistically felt they were “his airplanes.” Sometimes he could, sometimes he couldn’t. When he couldn’t avoid the crash he’d be with the people as it happened, sometimes comforting as much as possible, sometimes assisting them with extricating themselves from the wreckage. 

AVERTED MID-AIR COLLISION

Through focused prayer and intention he gave the bored pilot of a commercial aircraft a “Tom Sawyer hug”, causing the pilot’s attitude to change from “I’m just sitting here with nothing to do” to a more appropriate “Wait a minute, I’m a pilot. I’m responsible for all these people” so he’d sit up straight with pride. That shift in physical position allowed him to spot an oncoming airplane in time to narrowly avoid a mid-air collision. 

CRASH OF LOCKHEED L10-11 TRI-STAR

Tom’s favorite commercial aircraft was the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar. During a conversation, he suddenly corrected someone who mentioned that there would be no more crashes of that airplane. He did not know the time or place, just very vivid visions with details of the accident. As part of his travels, he began going from airport to airport trying to pinpoint the location he saw in his visions. He was never given enough information to prevent it. A valuable lesson was learned that day: some things are not meant to be stopped. The crash happened on August 2nd, 1985, exactly as he had foreseen, except what he thought was a white building was actually a storage tank.

HUGGED BY AN ANGEL

Because of Free Will, Tom could only spiritually hug people who are spiritually receptive. This was the case for Jackie Nink Pflug, a passenger on the Egypt Air flight 648, on November 23rd 1985. She was praying and perceived an angel comforting her during her brush with death. She was shot in the head and survived. Tom and Jackie both appeared on the Phil Donahue show, where she sat right next to Tom and spoke first.  She had no idea that the angel that had comforted her had been Tom in spirit, in fervent prayer.

Prophetic Visions

When reading about Tom’s prophecies, we have to keep in mind that the heavy lifting of his spiritual work was done in the late 1980s and early 1990s.  He fulfilled his mission and prevented nuclear disasters. Since his passing, the world has grown and evolved, shifting the time lines. However, we still find ourselves teetering on the brink of a world where chemical pollution continues to burn Mother Earth’s skin and attitudes continue to be eroded by violence across the globe.

During his NDE, Sawyer reported witnessing two divergent futures for humanity, both Acts of Love from God:

• A Path of Destruction:  Tom saw a future where increasing natural disasters, societal fragmentation, and global conflicts led to widespread devastation, and the annihilation of three quarters of humanity–so that Mother Earth can salvage herself. Through trauma, survivors tend to forget their materialism and greed, and become much more compassionate.
• A Path of Harmony: Conversely, Tom envisioned a world where humanity embraced love and unity, leading to peace and a deeper connection with God and nature, allowing Mother Earth to heal herself. We are still on the cusp of that decision. It’s not too late.

Earth Changes

At the time when he released his second book with Sidney in the year 2000, Tom said humanity wasn’t even halfway to where it should be, spiritually. Tom said that the culmination of the earth’s changes, when “everything will be in line, spiritually speaking,” is estimated to be around the year 2150. Tom described the present time as the most extraordinary time in the last 10,000 years. According to him, there’s a high probability of a cataclysmic event that would physically cleanse the earth, and would destroy human life as we know it.

While nuclear war could have a devastating effect on the human psyche–demoralizing people into a downward spiral of negative attitude–earth changes are a catalyst for spiritual growth and bringing people together. 

Tom Sawyer, as well as many other NDErs, were talking about Earth Changes long before climate change became the talk of mainstream discussion. When humanity goes past the tipping point of being able to clean up their mess alone, Mother Earth will find herself in an emergency situation.  

Predictions include:

• Record-breaking weather extremes (most rainfall in one hour, coldest/hottest temperatures for specific dates).
• A double increase in volcanic activities and the occurrence of tidal waves.
• Flip-flop and record-breaking extremes in rainfall and temperature, along with heavier snows.
• Rising sea levels are expected due to melting ice caps, potentially reclaiming coastal regions like a quarter of Florida and Louisiana.

Earthquakes

There’s a relationship between human spirituality and seismic activity. If spiritual awareness falls below a minimum level, it can invite geological disaster. God could use this opportunity to annihilate a portion of the population, in turn that would create an increased level of human spirituality within the remaining population. This is not a punishment, but a calculated opportunity for spiritual evolution.

Fulfilled earthquake prediction:  Tom mentioned one overdue earthquake that “won’t be experienced as an earthquake per se, but it will be experienced as a tidal wave by shorelines around the Indian and the Pacific Oceans. This prediction was published in 1994.

• In 2004, the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami was triggered by a massive earthquake off the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. It resulted in a devastating natural disaster that claimed over 220,000 lives across 14 countries. The earthquake, measuring between 9.1 and 9.3 on the Richter scale, caused a massive displacement of water, generating waves as high as 30 meters (100 feet) that impacted coastlines as far away as East Africa.

Unfulfilled earthquake prediction: Tom gives credibility to other psychic predictions that another big earthquake is coming to California. The possibility of a major 8.5 Richter scale earthquake is overdue, and more likely to happen soon, more than ever before.  He notes that fault lines typically move dramatically every 200-250 years, with the last big one in California having occurred in 1806. Sensitive psychics might provide roughly thirty days warning for such an event. According to this USA Today article dated June 7, 2025, the “Big One” could still happen any time. In Southern California, there has been a noticeable uptick in earthquake activity in 2024 and 2025.

“Do not worry about Mother Earth because she will be here, and if she is not here, there will be something else, a replacement. The law of conservation within the universe is real. You can explode the earth or burn it up, but nothing will be lost within the universe.” – Tom Sawyer, Book 2, Chapter 24.

PREPPING

Tom advocated for common sense, and being ready for disasters that naturally occur in your area. He himself carried a leatherman’s tool in his travel bag, which is like a swiss army knife with a can opener, Philips screw driver and nose pliers. He used it on nearly every trip he ever took.  But Tom did not promote the idea of purposely storing water or perishables, or hoarding much of anything. Storing large amounts of gasoline in a shed can be dangerous. During most emergencies, most of what was hoarded would not be useful.  This is not to say one shouldn’t strive to be self-sufficient and grow a garden, but hoarding won’t really help.

What’s Behind Saturn?

There is a condensed aggregation of spiritual energy and a spiritual enhancement from outside forces located on the far side of Saturn. While Tom doesn’t go into more detail about the nature of this energy, he does tell us it’s condensed enough to be visible with our current technology.

This condensed energy is on standby for the moment we cross the line of no return and are no longer able to reverse the chemical pollution enough to save Mother Earth and prevent humankind from going extinct. This energy would facilitate the necessary cleansing of Mother Earth, potentially involving “the instantaneous annihilation of all human life”, if necessary. The “manipulation of the energy” in the entire universe is already in place to facilitate this cleansing, according to Tom.

This spiritual enhancement would affect the earth beyond its surface, influencing the ten-mile high envelope in which we breathe. According toTom, the influx of this energy had already begun in 1978, intensifying in the 1980s.

METEORS

When we see the meteors in the sky, we should enjoy the “fireworks” in awe of the beauty, and remain in our states of love so we can help those in need of spiritual hugs. He warns that this intensification could lead to outright explosions, and even some catastrophes, with meteorites potentially hitting the surface and causing severe damage. These meteors will be a loving purification in a natural way. These are some of the signs that will be available for those who can read them.

Predictions

Future Dis-Ease

Tom Sawyer’s teachings directly address the potential for plague-like events or widespread diseases as a significant factor in humanity’s future. While the survivability of AIDS has been prolonged through various drugs, it continues to serve as a teaching tool. Tom speculates that if AIDS doesn’t achieve its purpose, another disease might emerge that could “wipe out three-quarters of the world’s population so that we can regenerate in a more spiritual way”. 

He notes that modern global travel means diseases are no longer confined to isolated areas, making worldwide spread a rapid possibility. Furthermore, Tom identifies future diseases that may take a decade to become noticeable, such as a form of multiple sclerosis stemming from airborne compounds. He frames these events not as punishment, but as a calculated opportunity for spiritual evolution and the cleansing of Mother Earth if human attitudes and actions do not align with spiritual principles and unconditional love.

Tom said verbally that he does not see AIDS being the disease which wipes out 3/4 of the population.

He adds that if large segments of the ozone hole move north, there could be a more than hundredfold number of skin cancers, some blindness and nausea. An increase in leukemia, various cancers, and illnesses affected by microwaves or radioactivity is foreseen due to pollution. New, hard-to-diagnose diseases are also emerging.  We have seen this happen with the onset of COVID-19. 

Future Light Physics

Tom said that in the near future there will be functions recognized to travel at more than 10,000 times the speed of light. 

World Economy

The stage for the world economy has greatly changed since Tom’s time, aided by the internet going mainstream in 1994. That makes this one of Tom’s prophecies that is currently still developing.

Tom said that we were heading towards a truly global economy. There is a continuing need for new markets, which means that even smaller economies will be treated with respect. We are realizing economic interconnectedness with markets in other countries. Enhancement by compassion and new, spiritually-oriented attitudes, will accompany the development of a worldwide and harmonious system of trade.

Spiritual Leaders

The people of the world are coming to recognize that it is better to be spiritually-oriented rather than oriented in a materialistic way. We will continue to see our society increase in spiritual awareness. 

At this time, at least twenty-five percent of the world’s population has spiritual awareness, and these people want their leaders to be spiritually aware. They will make better leaders than those who rely on charisma, financial wealth, and dominant masculine power. There is a risk of civil or religious wars if there are an insufficient number of “responsible, spiritually-oriented people”.

Aliens

While the existence of alien life isn’t discussed in detail in the books, Tom speaks in a way that assumes they are real. He says they are much more likely to assist us in our transition and time of need than try to take over. In short, we have nothing to fear in regards to negative alien activity.  

Tom has discussed the potential for physical manifestations from the same love/desire (the spiritual enhancement) that could appear as cylindrical or cigar-shaped objects within the atmosphere, traveling at unbelievable speed.

Potential for Divine Intervention

According to Tom, God could decree a monad in our time–a spiritual entity, not an elemental one. This could happen through biological evolution or mutation along with miraculous intervention. 

These entities are not polluted, are not bothered by the need to be religious, spiritual, artistic, or to develop a civilization. We used to be able to get scripture from these entities via biological memory and telepathy, but our ability to do so has deteriorated as each generation became less spiritual.

God has the ability to manifest an army of angels if it were deemed necessary.  It has not been necessary yet.

The Second Coming

Tom doesn’t talk about the Second Coming of Jesus in a physical sense. He alludes that the result of the Second Coming is that we will get rid of these physical bodies, and that we’ll evolve so that the spirit of man becomes the new body. To be in that light without a body will be the first stage of “being” instead of a human creature, being a soul without the body. We’d be light beings in the form of non-materialistic, mass-less spiritual energy, with the ability to float over the Grand Canyon at will.
