FROM RICHARD
By way of introduction, I was a close friend of Tom and his family for the last 17 years of his life. I traveled the world with him, traded jokes, and once tried to steal his truck – for his own good of course. For the last few of those years I moved to within two miles of his house, honored to be his caretaker. I was with him until a few hours of his passing.
Having listened to Tom chatter on throughout those years, sometimes all night, I’m now using this blog to share much of what I learned from my incredible friendship with a man who changed my life.

The Practical Spirituality of Santa
I’ve been portraying Santa for over twenty years. I don’t know if my beard turned naturally white because I was meant to play Santa or, if because of playing Santa, my beard decided to join in the fun. Either way here I am, and delightedly so. I was too busy during the Christmas season to…

intentions
Down at the last NDE RandR in Virginia Beach, some of us sat around discussing what Tom meant when he said that NDEs in which people see dead relatives and beings in white are only experiencing the early stages of a full blown NDE. Yes, their experience would be the ultimate for them and there…

Earth Changes
In the chapter on Earth Changes in “What Tom Sawyer Learned from Dying’, Tom mentions humanity being so far off course that spirituality has a ‘gun’ loaded, cocked, and aimed at the Earth. He says it could come as anything from diseases, to volcanoes, storms and droughts, to flaming rocks falling from the sky. He…

Blue Light Anchoring
I’ve been asked to describe my experience and the process of anchoring the Blue Light. I wasn’t at all of the anchorings, and I didn’t really understand it well in, what was for me, very early days. Tom explained the anchoring as completing the spiritual circuitry of Mother Earth. I wondered why it hadn’t been…

Q&A about Death, for Kids
by Tom Sawyer Death is the name we give to a confusing passing of life. We know that plants die in the winter. We know that animals die too. We understand that nature works this way. However, it is much harder to understand why people die, especially someone we love. When someone dies it makes…

The Divine Spark
There is a divine spark within us, always. Judy, a dear friend of 50+ years, had a brain bleed incident and fell down a flight of stairs a few years ago. Before that she would run up and down those very same stairs for exercise. She now sits in a wheelchair, leaned over, sleeping. When…
