Sending Love

1. Some time in the 1980s Tom and other NDEers became aware of a planned suicide bombing in the middle east. They worked desperately to gather as much information of a psychic nature as they could about that bombing. They had some information, but did not have the capacity to separate the detonators telekinetically, nor to stop them from igniting the explosives. They knew they had spiritual permission to interfere with the bombing but, failing everything else, they could only send love.

Tom mentioned later that more than 100,000 people were involved in sending love to the suicide bomber, most were not consciously aware of what they were doing. None of them knew if their efforts had worked on the day of the planned event.

Two days later a small article in the newspaper stated that a potential suicide bomber had stopped his truck of explosives and turned himself in, saying he could no longer hurt people because he had felt, “The hugs of a thousand mothers.”

2. The Berlin Wall stood as a symbol of the state of “East-West” Cold War political relations from 1961 until 1989. It was a failure of human cooperation. Driven by greed and ego, it had become an embarrassment which neither side could figure out how to remove.

In 1988 Tom Williams, his wife Isa, and a few others placed their hands on the wall while intoning the vowels A, E, O. It was an ad hoc ceremony, if you will, to petition spirituality to create a solution which humans had been unable to find.

Almost one year to the day the wall was torn down to great celebration — and with the unspoken permission of the East German government.

What would it have taken to remove the wall militarily? If the West attacked, the East would have been forced to defend. Imagine the amount of money it would take to supply the military equipment on both sides, airplanes, bombs, tanks, soldiers, and ammunition. A major section of the city would have been destroyed, resulting in loss of innocent civilian lives. And it’s very likely we would still need a military presence there today, as we have in Korea.

3. As of this writing, August 2026, we are involved in an attempted military take-over of Iran, at $1 billion per day, with great loss of life – and with no end in sight. 

We are giving another generation of Iranians a new reason to hate us for the rest of their lives.
