There is a divine spark within us, always.
Judy, a dear friend of 50+ years, had a brain bleed incident and fell down a flight of stairs a few years ago. Before that she would run up and down those very same stairs for exercise. She now sits in a wheelchair, leaned over, sleeping.
When gently woken and spoken to, she answers with 2-3 words at best. But that spark, which I have loved for over half a century, is still there. Her brain doesn’t work well, but the spark shines through in her voice. It’s pure beauty to behold.
A common comment of hers was, “If I ever get put into a nursing home, I’m just going to love everyone!” I believe she is, as she is beloved by all there.
The truth is – love has no limits on its expression.
May we have gratitude for that Divine spark, always with us, always shining through in some way.
